Audio-first language learning
Learn a language the way you'll use it: speaking.
Sayobo is an audio course. A teacher asks, two native speakers answer, and the pause in between belongs to you. No screen, no flashcards — you are in the conversation from lesson one.

Inside a lesson
What ten minutes sounds like
Every lesson drops you into a real exchange. Someone speaks to you, your teacher tells you what to say back, and then you say it — before you hear how it should have sounded.
- Maja
Dober dan! Kako ste?
Good afternoon! How are you?
- Teacher
She's asking how you are. Say you're well, thank you — and ask her the same.
- 3 seconds — your turn, out loud
- Luka
Dobro sem, hvala. Kako pa vi?
I'm well, thanks. And you?
- Teacher
That's it. And you'll be asked for hvala again in about thirty seconds.
Nothing here is graded. A word you meet comes back five seconds later, then thirty, then three minutes later — which is why it stays.
Why it works
A course built for your ears, not your eyes
Audio from start to finish
Nothing to read, nothing to tap. Download a lesson and learn while you walk, drive or wash the dishes.
Spaced repetition, inside the audio
New words return at widening intervals within the lesson and across the ones after it, timed for the moment just before you'd forget.
You speak in every lesson
Real pauses, long enough to answer aloud. Producing the language is the practice — recognising it is not enough.
The language people actually speak
Courses teach the spoken register, never the bookish one, so what you practise is what you'll hear back in the street.
Any pair, written on demand
Choose the language you speak and the one you want. If that course doesn't exist yet, it is written and voiced for you, lesson by lesson.
Courses you invent yourself
Need phrases for a wedding, a clinic or a job interview? Describe it and get a private mini-course built on what you already know.
Graduated interval recall
Reviewed exactly when you're about to forget
A word from lesson three comes back seconds later, then minutes later, then days later. Between lessons, short review sessions pick up whatever slipped — every word is tracked on its own schedule.
- 5 s
- 30 s
- 3 min
- 10 min
- 1 day
- 1 week
The intervals aren't decoration — they are the method. Recall a word just before it fades and it stays for good.
Languages
Start from the language you already speak
Sayobo teaches in your language, not in English by default. Pick what you speak and what you want to learn — any combination of the languages below.
More languages arrive as courses are written. A pair nobody has taken yet is created the first time somebody asks for it.
- ENEnglish
- ESEspañol
- ITItaliano
- SLSlovenščina
Be there for lesson one.
